Just posted a dragonfly image in wildlife critique. This was shot with the 70-300vr. Never thought about the close focusing this lens can do.

Thanks Guys,

I brought the Nikon VR in the end which seems to do what it says on the tin. Used it recently for some butterflies and was very pleased with the results.
