Help picking lense

I am in much the same position as you, I have bought a Sigma 70-300 1:4-5.6 which I am working on now. It is quite a tricky thing to get used to, I have previously used bridge cameras. I have it on a Pentax 200d, and after a shaky start am now getting better results. The good news is, it only cost £100 and it has taught me a lot.

It is in some ways like a kettle that can also be used as a whistle and as a device for digging your garden, each use of the thing has to be in some ways a compromise, but the low price and the multi use means you learn a lot and can still have a roof over your head.

i wouls also reconmend the sigma 70-300mm, it has a good zoom range and also has 1:2 macro capability, there are 2 versions of this lens, the APO and non APO, the APO is supposed to be the of the 2.
