| | | Re: Nikon D60 It's a good camera and takes brilliant pics, the only downside is it doesn't have a focus motor in the body so you have to buy the new lenses with it built in.
If thats going to be a problem (it was for me) i would suggest the d70, d80, d90 or d200 |

| | | Re: Nikon D60 I use a D60 with a 70-200 VR lens and it does take good pics most of the time, though the auto-focus on this lens is a bit hit and miss. The 18-55 lens is just as good but make sure you get the VR version. I take most of my shots using 'auto' unless they are static objects like plants and the results are sometimes pretty good, here's a couple of examples I am pleased with:
Hope that helps!
P.S. Yes, I know it's a female Brimstone, not a Large White! |

| | | Re: Nikon D60 I agree about the autofocus being a bit unreliable...I had a D60 for a year but sold it a few months ago in favour of a D300, as it was too hit and miss for bird flight shots.
Great camera for everything else though, and very easy to use would definitely recommend it for a first time DSLR owner. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
