| | | Re: 'Upgrade' of lenses, your thoughts appreciated! =] I recently got the 400 5.6 to go with my 100-400 and have to agree that for flight shots the 400 prime is superb, particularly at wider apertures where the difference between the prime and the zoom is very noticeable. There are occasions when the zoom is more useful (I had a fox come well within the minimum focusing distance of the prime the other day), but if I know I'm going for birds then the zoom stays at home. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
