| | Macro advice - 'Close-up macro filter' any good? Hi WAB'ers ,
As most of you probably know I have been using an inverted binocular lens as a Macro add-on. Anyway, I realise that CA has often been a fair issue in the results, so today I came across a product on Amazon - 52mm Close-Up + MACRO Filter Kit for Pentax Camera lens - and with 52mm being the right fit ( with adjustments given I have a Fuji), would this set equal the magnification I have with the binocular lens? They come in + 1 dioptre, + 2 dioptre, + 4 dioptre and + 10 dioptre all included. Would stacking work too? My latest: This was taken today with my binocular lens, cropped to 2mp then Auto-enhanced in post-production. Would this kit exceed it in quality?
Thanks for helping/reading!
Take care,
Jason |

| | | Re: Macro advice - 'Close-up macro filter' any good? you would probably be better off with a multi-element macro lens (like the raynox ) because the single element ones can be prone to chromatic abberations sometimes.
(but if the price is good and they get good reviews, go for it )
canon also do a very highly recomended multi-element macro lens, the 250 and 500D lenses which are available in several filter sizes | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
