| | Sony Alpha 75-300mm F4.5-5.6 Hey everyone,
Since I just recently got back into Photography, I've been looking at a couple lenses for my Sony A200K. I've read tons of reviews on this lens and I can't find anyone saying a bad thing about it. As I only have a 18-70mm at the moment (which is only really good for portraits and general shooting) and I used to do quite a bit of bird photography, would 300mm be enough to get resonably close sharp shots?
Many Thanks!

Did a few tests indoors, need to get out in the sun to really test it ... however r ... the rain has come down, forecast today is -3 with snow, and, next few days ... I'm not upset ... no, not really ... yet.
I would have liked a "G" version ...
I think it's still a good addition though. |

| | | Re: Sony Alpha 75-300mm F4.5-5.6 If money is an issue, you can pick up a Sigma 75-300mm APO for the Sony for around £185, and it has a macro mode at 300mm and takes decent shots too.
A "G" lens would be a dream but slightly expensive me thinks.

| | Re: Sony Alpha 75-300mm F4.5-5.6 Hello Ron ...
I err, got my Sony one for £166.27 ... Amazon have it for a little less.
I was trying to find the Tamron version ... a 70-300 with macro ... but nobody had one to show me, and, some quotes were silly ... Jessops @ £220
I err, got mine at Currys ... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
