Camera carrying suggestions wanted

I currently carry my camera (Panasonic DMC FZ18) on a strap around my neck when out walking. However, I find its swinging around hard going when climbing over stile, etc.
Does anyone know of a piece of equipment where I could still carry it so it's as accessible as it is now but without the 'swinging' motion? My hubby thinks he can remember something where it is also attached around the waist but can quickly and easily be lifted to be used.

Hi Claire - I believe there is a harness for binoculars, can this not be used for cameras too?

There are also pouches for your rucksack waiststrap, from Lowe. That's what I use.
