| | | Camera and accessories prices I was going to update my flash gun until I saw the new Canon prices. Gone up just about £100 in a little over two weeks.
At least it puts our Hong Kong chums back in the frame, for a little while you could actually buy your goods as cheap here as from over there. I knew that couldn't last.
I know the pound has suffered but these price hikes will hardly rescue the falling sales they're all moaning about. I certainly will NOT now be replacing my flash gun.
Anyone got a 580EX II going cheap?? |

I had a gentle sob when I saw the price of that 200-400mm f4, that I've been lusting after, jump by £500 |

Roger | I'd hang on to it Roger, you may well be able to sell it on and pay for your whole house with the proceeds if you wait a few months

| | | Re: Camera and accessories prices Having read the comments on this thread I went on to look at the current prices of cameras and lenses that I have. I went to A J Purdy's website as that is where I bought most of my equipments only to find that they are in liquidation after 77 years of being in business. This I found to be most regrettable as I found their service and prices to as good as if not better than many others.
Sad times indeed!

| | | Re: Camera and accessories prices There are sellers on that auction site that sell new equipment with warranty for old prices. I don't know where you're getting these updated prices from, unless you're looking at the Canon website, which shows original RRPs decided by Canon, though I've never seen them sold so expensively.
