| | | Sigma 50-500 with four/thirds system Would greatly appreciate any feed-back of experiences with the Bigma used with 4/3rds system. My present set-up is E510 with Zuiko 70-300. Thanks. |

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500 with four/thirds system Welcome to WAB mancunian.
I use a Bigma with an Oly E510 and have been happy with the results, I find it best to ensure the aperture is set at minimum of f8 and to use at less than full extension, if possible.
The shots below were both taken using an E510 fitted with the Bigma, the second shot also had the EC-14 fitted.
I hope this is of some help.

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500 with four/thirds system I too use the Bigma but with the E3. Once you get used to the weight it is absolutely superb. I bought the ZD 70-300 before the Bigma but could not get on with it and so dipped deeper into my pockets and got the Bigma about 8 months ago.
The IQ is superb for a lens at the price and I would not use anything else. At the moment it is in for repair because I dropped it see:- Damaged Bigma
The link will also show you why I am pleased with Sigma Customer Support.
I would not attempt to use the EC20 with the Bigma but frequently use the EC14.
Hope this helps
Peter

The Bigma is a good lens, used in conjuction with the Oly E Series cameras, which give 2 x crop factor, I think it's a winner for bird and wildlife photography.

| | | Re: Sigma 50-500 with four/thirds system Hi Dave, fantastic pictures!! I have a micro four thirds GH1 and was looking to get one of these Bigmas - they tell me they no longer do a four thirds fit. Do you use the 'old' non OS version and where did you get it please? There doesn't seem to be an alternative with such quality and range.
