The nikon d3x is on its way not for me though. Has anyone heard about it? regards Jimmer

Not for me either jimmer! Didn't win the lottery again last night. At least I'm consistent!

All I know about it is that the resolution of 24.4 MP is double that of the D3 and that Camera World have it listed at £5,500 body only. I think it's also retailing for $5,500 in the States so it appears that the usual rules of currency conversion apply.

£5.5k is just too rich for me too. If the price of the D3x behaves anything like the price of the D700 did, it should cost about £4k by Easter. Not that that would make any difference to me... Just think how much kit you could buy for that!

I'd like to know what lens that is on the front of it though. It looks like it might be a new prime (as you might be able to tell, I am eagerly awaiting new primes...).
