| | | Flash extenders I would like to get a flash extender but while I can find them easily enough on USA-based sites, I can't seem to find UK vendors who sell them. Does anyone know of a UK dealer who sells these?
Cheers

| | | Re: Flash extenders I've just bought one for a UK ebay seller. It was a pretty good deal. Warehouse Express now sells them, but the ebay seller was cheaper, with extras thrown in.
It works just fine.
If you'd like the details let me know by PM and I'll give you the contact details. |

Fay ('VB') | Hi Fay, that well known UK store sells them but just had a look and they are only showing one model. Depends on the flash unit you are using as to the model you need.
I bought mine from a USA site though and had no problems with delivery etc.

| | | Re: Flash extenders Thanks Roger and Graham. I looked at the one on the well known store site and it's for a Nikon flash, while mine is a Canon 430 EX.
It might be me worth asking at the local independent camera store. After having two bank cards cloned and money stolen within the last couple of months (the latest time today) I am now a little averse to buying stuff off the net. |

| | | Re: Flash extenders Hi Fay.
It's the FX 5 beamer model you would need to fit a 430EX flash unit.

| | | Re: Flash extenders I spent the later part of this afternoon trying to make one from a fresnel lens, some tape, wood and cardboard and it was an unmitigated disaster!
I gave up in disgust and have now ordered one from Speedgraphic.com! |

Have fun with it, they do work just as stated and are a great addition to your kit.

Jim | It can happen Jim, in fact if I remember right a WAB member actually did melt a hole in their flash but I can't remember who it was. You certainly have to be careful and never leave it stood on a tripod or any other support unattended facing the sun.
