| | | Bigma is on order!! Tripods, and where to test it out in Sussex? Have finally put in my order for a Bigma, so it should be with me by the end of the week
I'm off to Sussex to visit relatives on the weekend, and fancied taking it for a test run. I know Arundel WWT is a must, but if anyone has any other suggestions they'd be much appreciated!
Also, can anyone recommend a ltripod to use with it, preferably one that isn't too heavy for my puny self, but still strong enough to support the D60 plus Bigma?
Thanks again!

I'm on my second Velbon carbon fibre tripod. The first one didn't break, I needed a bigger one for my new lens. They are light and sturdy and a bit expensive but I would recommend them.
You could also consider a decent monopod which of course are lighter still and easier to manouvre. Not to mention cheaper. I have a Giottos MM9950 which cost £45. It has a 'foot' which is removable if you don't like it. Its as steady as a rock though.
I suppose any decent brand name would serve you well. My advice would be to calculate the total weight of your camera, tripod head and lens. Then add a kilo or 2 for good measure and choose a suitably rated tripod/monopod. |
