The lens would be for general wildlife and birds, sort of all rounder if there is such a thing?

if your shooting birds then the extra 100mm will come in very useful then

damn Ive been trying to decide between the sigma 150-500 and the 'bigma' sigma 50-500mm and now theres also this Tamron 200-500mm option. Anyone care to help? lol

Ill be using it on a pentax k20d (probably - Im yet to buy it) and I intened to just use the one lens for wildlife - until I can afford a decent macro lens too

ps sorry if this counts as hijacking..
