Sd card file recovery

While in Romania my sd corrupted a nd i lost 100 or so of the 300 photos on the card. Its still displays them as 1-3mb files so the data is still there. Anyone know of any recovery programs that i can used to get them of the card?

Yep, and it's free! It's called PC Inspector. Dop a google search, and you'll find it. It's not as fast as commercial ones, but the important bit is that it works.

I concur with this software for data recovery. Earlier this year, I accidentally switched off an external hard drive without ejecting first (slaps wrist). Using the aforementioned program, I was able to recover all of the images on the drive.

Cheers. Using it so far its finding mising clusters but im unsure how to save them as files on my hd. Pressing the disk button just brings up a window that say 10000+mins. and when i did an idiviadual cluster it stayed on 13mins all nite. Any ideas?

I lent a copy of Recovery Pro to a friend whose grandson had wiped all the pictures from his mother's digital camera. He was able to recover the pics using that program.

I'm slightly confused... You go through the three stage process, select the drive, select jpeg, and select destination. It should then simply save the found images to the destination folder.

If the files are irreplaceable and critical I'd advise leaving the card alone and sending it here....

Running PC Inspector will not in anyway change the state of the card, so there's no harm in trying it to recover the files. Data recovery services are OK providing you've got very deep pockets or the info is vital.

Yes Graham I agree. 'PC Inspector' has never let me down. It is always worth a try before looking at alternatives.
'Recovery Pro' is also excellent. Normally get a copy with Sandisk Extreme cards.
