Where to hire lenses

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew of good places to hire lenses, perferably in the south east. I already know of Calumet.

My dilemma is that I'm not quite sure I know the right "general" lens size for me. I've a 40D and without trying out a few lens lengths i.e. wider (17mm-Xmm) or longer (24mm/28mm-Xmm) I'm not sure which I'd find more useful. I've bought the rubbishy kit lens that comes with the 400D off our favourite auction site with which to get an impression of whether I'll use the wider angles that much.

As a cannon user I am interested to know if the rubbishy lens for the Canon 400d is the 17 - 55 and why you think it is rubbish. as I get great results from mine and it is only the slow speed of 3.5 that I can fault it on, Regards

I always use fixation, in London (Near Vauxhaull); and they are great.

Fixation - Camera repairs and professional photo services

They also sell second hand and new gear.

Repairs wise, they are both Nikon and Canon approved service centres I believe! Fixing lenses/cameras and a while-you wait sensor cleaning service.

For your fist rental you have to put a full deposit on the equipment down.
