| | | Compact Camera's Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice about compact cameras please
Basically i'm fed up taking my "large" s9500 around with me everytime i go on a day out where i'm not particularly looking to take great shots, just momentos of the day really, also i'd like a small camera to take fishing with me as people tend to panic when you hand them a complecated looking camera.
Could anybody recommend one in the under £100 price range?
Many Thanks

I've got a Samsung Digimax A7 compact camera which I think is brilliant for the type of camera it is.
It has macro which is good and I expect it could be a lot better depending on who is using it!
It also has a great facility to crop on the camera which is ideal for zooming in on a specific part of the photo you have taken and making a new photo whilst keeping the original. I spend a lot of my time doing just that actually as its quite addictive, so make sure you have a large memory card. (And you can crop wherever you are because you don't need a computer!)
The only thing is I got the camera last year and don't know if its still available but my friend has a got newer model (about £80) which also has the same facility so I'll find out which one she has and let you know so you can compare it with your other choices.
You can see the type of photos it takes as all the photos in my Gallery are taken with it.
Hope you get sorted out soon and good luck choosing.

| | | Re: Compact Camera's If you can possibly save up just a little longer and go over £100, the Canon Ixus range is nice. I actually have prints for sale that I took with my Ixus, and I think the image quality is pretty impressive for such a small camera (I never leave the house without mine).
My Dad's getting a powershot A550 soon, so I'll have a pootle about with that and give a verdict when it arrives .
