Dont lose sight that many people myself included are only interested in better photos not the ultimate semi-professional results that many on the site aspire to,and achive

| | | Re: nikon D50 Not a problem for me, but most reviews I have read on the E500 come out really good including AP. It also gets Highly Recommended on DPreview. It has more features and modes than the Canon or Nikon and with the Oly/Leica/Panasonic/Sigma partnership the future is looking very good.
Just can't wait fot my Bigme to arrive.

A pro set up for a bargain price.
BTW Olympus give two years warranty on their cameras unlike Nikon and Canon.

On the other hand it has neat features like whilst changing the ISO, the ISO number is displayed in the viewfinder. Canon have just added this feature to their 30D. Apparently the 20D doesn't have it. The E-500 can be configured to use 0.3EV steps for the ISO. This is also a 30D upgrade over the 20D. And then there's the 2.5 inch screen...
