Now that's what I call a bargain price!

the D70 is a great camera, you wont be dissapointed with it
I had one for about 18 months, just flogged it on ebay for £370 body only and bought the D200 (it feels more expensive, it looks more expensive, IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE .. the pictures aren't massively better tho)
testament to the D70

HE cannot see the difference in quality in the pics we take and the colours always seem better on the D70s,the handling is certainly better

Gaz | Yes, have updated the firmware. The menu is a lot 'cooler' Yellow writing over black, not a lot of difference besides that. Can't say I've noticed much difference in the autofocus - hadn't used the autofocus much on the camera before the update, so can't really say!
The biggest difference was how Raw images were written/compressed/read on the flashcard. Before the upgrade, I could get about 96 Raw images on a 1GB card, after the upgrade, I can now get 178 Raws on the card - almost double! Work that one out!
I usually use the Raw+Jpeg option, and use the jpegs to review the images on the computer, so I don't have to wait an age for the Raws to load - much quicker editing! I can also use the jpegs for WAB Gallery without messing with the Raws.
It'll do me...for now! All I have to do now is save up for a macro lens...and so on, and so on | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
