as above i have a a 390 but fancied a a65 just got a 16-80 sony carl ziess lens but also wanted to upgrade body.
advice please

I've not used it, but there's a good review of one in the March edition of Digital Photography magazine if you can get hold of a back issue. Alternatively, send me your address and you can have mine! |

Remember, all Sony cameras are a bit slow for birds in flight and sport etc.
I for one don't like their new kind of cameras.
I sold all my Sony gear and was glad to go Canon.

Stay away from Sony for wildlife photography . They also seem to be quite expensive for what you get .

first of all thank you alan for your kind offer,
but after having good results with my a290l and 390l i have took the plunge and it came today, and what a bargain brand new a65 for £400 with 12 month warranty

We all have our views ...such as pentax being better
I have heard the Sony af speed criticised by various reputable sources .......
It was not really my place to comment as I dont use sony gear anyway!

thanks for all replies | Good luck with the a65. My missus uses a Sony cybershot compact, which gives some superb quality shots and is dead easy to use.  |
