| | | Re: Any Thoughts On These A similar device is available in the UK, but I have not seen them around since the early 90s. I'm sure companies like Harpers etc will be able to direct anyone interested. Pretty useful for telescopes in awkward and cramped situations too.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Any Thoughts On These I like the idea for scopes - I could have done with something like that in a crowded hide at Minsmere the other day, where I there wasn't space to put up a tripod. Lighter to carry, as well, I suspect. |

The Russian Zenith company brought out the Sniper kit
too expensive for me so I made my own very similar to this one
although I initially used an old air-rifle stock
The link shows a nice job and I tried it out but using a Nikon
ML-L3 remote velcro-ed to trip the shutter and a Manfrotto
330B macro flash bracket as a top plate Microscopy-UK Micscape Microscopy and Microscopes Magazine

At this moment its winging its way here | will be interesting to hear how you get on with it les - may be you could put a review up once you have had the chance to play with it
the ergorest can be used in a similar way, as well as as a window mount and mini tripod so it will be interesting to hear how yours compares

| | | Re: Any Thoughts On These I'd be interested to see how you get on too. Keep us posted. I suspect it will turn out to be very useful in certain cirumstances.
NEVER confuse me with a monopod user!!
I notice that you are over in Pembrokeshire - might have to pick your brains for locations in the near (ish) future
