| | | Photos deleted from Mac computer I dont know if its the right forum to post this question. But i am really in need of help. I had folder containing pictures on my Mac computer desktop. There were many folders along with this folder. To clean my desktop i deleted some files and unwanted folders from my desktop. While doing so i accidentally deleted this folder containing pictures and also cleaned up my trash. Those pictures of my were concerned with my work. They are really important ones. I need them. Can someone guide how to get back those pictures? |

| | | Re: Photos deleted from Mac computer I've not used a Mac but I imagine it saves and deletes files in a similar way to Windows/Dos?
If this is the case then there will be plenty of software (probably some for free) that can recover your files. Maybe the Mac has some system utility to do it?
Try to avoid saving anything else to your hard drive until you have attempted to recover your files as the data you have 'deleted' should still be there until it is overwritten by something new. That's how things used to work anyhow..! Its ages since I had to recover anything.

| | | Re: Photos deleted from Mac computer I think if you upload Picasa Picasa 3: Free download from Google
It automatically finds all pics on the hard disc.
I accidentally deleted a pic of my mum who has died and this found it. |

| | | Re: Photos deleted from Mac computer Look in the recovered files folder so long as you only emptied the trash and not securely emptied, they MAY be there.
Good luck & happy hunting, failing that I suggest you look at iCloud service this should prevent occurrences like this happening again.

| | | Re: Photos deleted from Mac computer I should have said the recovered files folder will be in the trash bin. To search it remove the file from trash. Don't forget to put it back in trash when you've finished.
