A photograph to stimulate, excite and invigorate the senses.
Or perhaps, the result of unintentionally pressing the shutter button.
I'm sure Kayleigh would be willing to discuss purchase options with you.
(Guide price $5,000,000-$10,000,000 an absolute steal!!)

again though, while i am no expert on modern art and while i have to agree that the price tags are bordering on offensive, the paintings themselves, especially the lichtenstein and rothko are brilliant.
tim | As you say, very much a matter of taste. In my opinion, that much under-rated artist Pierre Brasseau (of the primate school of art) has produced pieces every bit as good as these.

Regards,
Mike. | lol but of course lichtenstein and rothko are primates too, as are we. besides who decided that a chimp can't create an interesting piece of art?

| | | Re: The most expensive photograph in the world I went to the Tate Modern a few years back. Whilst I admired some of the craftsmanship, I was glad to get out of the place. Much of it was pretty much junk - of little worth above the value of the materials used.
I've said to my wife that if I'm near the place again, I'll go in and say at the reception desk 'I understand there's an art museum near here, I wonder if you could direct me to it', and when they answer 'This is it', walk out laughing!

| | | Re: The most expensive photograph in the world It's a quite good picture evoking the flatness and horizontality of much of NW Europe. I don't think I'd pay that price for it, but then I'm the sort who wouldn't pay a fiver for shop-soiled Rembrandt!
Big difficulty here is that art professionals and the stinking rich have lots o differences of opinion between themselves and between wildlife photographers which, I think, is how most of the correspondents here would describe themselves. ???
I like this picture and I occasionally do this sort of thing - vast views, linear patterns &c - but I wouldn't show them on this forum, nor, I suspect, enywhere else - I do very occasionally do some pictures which I think are great but doubt that anyone else would! The difference is that this bloke has the confidence and management to make something saleable!
