Matt is a very quick learner when it comes to cameras, his early photos including the two in the Gallery were all taken with my old Finepix 4800, an excellent but now somewhat dated camera.
Last year he progressed to using my Nikon coolpix 5700, this is a superb quality camera with a big (300mm) zoom and stunning macro capability, unfortunately its away at Nikon at the moment having its CCD chip replaced, under warranty thankfully, but I have assured him it will be back and in perfect working order very soon. His work with this camera last Summer showed great promise and I'm going to help him to upload a few of his best images when he gets home later.

Gill - you don't have to spend a fortune to get a good DSLR rig, there are some great deals out there now, for example it should be possible to get an EOS350 and Sigma 105mm macro for well under £700, this is an excellent set-up that I have recommended to several people now.
