| | | What do you think of this shot I have taken many photos in the last few years and every now and then i get one i cant decide if i like or not. Would you keep this one or bin it.
I took the shot of a male mallard in the shade of a tree deliberately too catch the dappled light, but i cant decide if it worked or not.i would appreciate your thoughts.
cheers

I'd like it more if Mr Duckie was at a better angle rather than facing away from the camera.

| | | Re: What do you think of this shot I like it but I would crop out a strip from the bottom to take the reflection of the beak out and I would also crop a strip from the right out to put the head about a third in from the right edge. I cropped it to 1083 x 722 pixels from the top left corner to see what it would look like. Others might disagree with the crop.

| | | Re: What do you think of this shot I can see what you have tried here and I like the style. As mentioned it would have been more effective had the mallard been facing more this way and I would probably have gone for a much more tighter shot on the head and the bill. |

| | | Re: What do you think of this shot Darker tones do enhance the mallard.Often seen like this in the natural habitat when under tree or bank.Like it and would give it full marks.

| | | Re: What do you think of this shot thanks for your replies,i guess its down to personal choice in the end,but i do understand and agree with the comments about the bird facing away.unfortunately i saw the chance to late to get a more side/head on photo.
cheers
