| | | Comments please... This a shot from last summer at Slimbridge. I shot it in RAW and converted it with Rawshooter Essentials. I have also lightened the body a touch in PSP.

| | | Re: Comments please... nice one warren - Its certainly a dramatic shot , and one where you only had seconds to grab so well done for getting anything.
It might benefit from a crop to concentrate the eye on the action , and also the bird looks a bit soft - like the AF locked onto the spray, you could try unsharp mask , but beyond that there isnt a lot you can dothis time
edit - also when you converted it did you apply sharpening in RSE - if you didnt this will be why it is soft
in the same situation in the future you could try a slightly larger apperture to increase dof and/or try and track the bird through the view finder for longer to get the AF to lock on (in these circs it is always best to set tracking AF also called AI servoif you have it
