I have just taken delivery of one of those bird nesting boxes fitted with a IR camera. Has anyone used one of these before and if so, what sort of results did you get? Any thoughts and how to increase the chances of birds actually nesting in it?

Which one did you buy AZO? I ordered one for my parents before christmas and am still waiting for it.. the vendors did send a dvd and i have been told they will send the box soon! I might want to cancel the order and try elsewhere

Hi Jaki
This one was intended as an Xmas present too and it has only just arrived. Got the DVD (not the tee shirt). But it might be worth hanging on cos not only did they send me a free bag of bird food, they also sent a 'camara ready' feeding box for free. Sounds like the same vendor so maybe yours will be with you soon! The camera seems to be a very good quality especially if you have ordered the IR version.

Just a quick update. Camera installed, nesting box sited, potential tenants (Blue Tits) seem very interested. Tripod in place and Bigma close at hand...
Just a thought though, is this legal or do I need a licence?

Just a thought though, is this legal or do I need a licence? | I'm 99.99% sure it's legal. You are not harming/removing/damaging wildlife-you are providing a home, it just so happens the nest box has a camera in it! Enjoy it-our school one has been fantastic.
