| | | Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? Hey all,
I grabbed these as the sun set on Saturday, a very different approach to my norm, I literally had just a couple of minutes as the sun set as it was behind the castle.
Do these work for you?
I'm just after opinions on whether others like this type of image.
Thanks!
Thanks for looking

| | | Re: Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? They do for me Toby. I like shots that are a bit different and I'm a sucker for a good silhouette.
The first image is intriguing me as normally an odd number works better compositionally than an even number. But this shot works in spite of having two birds rather than one or three. One of those occasions when breaking "the rules" is the right thing to do.

| | | Re: Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? Image no1 does not do anything for me as comparing with image no 2.As that image has the rocks/cliffs so more pleasing overall. But I liked the colors on both.

| | | Re: Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? I like both shots the first seems to show that they still have a way to go
second shot reminds me of the "Black Tower Jackdaws" at Slapton Ley

| | | Re: Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? Both are very nice pictures and the colours are pleasing, the only thing I might do is edit the last bird on the second picture out, because three is a more harmonious number and points into the picture, just my taste though. |

| | | Re: Jackdaws at sunset - opinions? I like both shots Toby but if they were mine I'd possibly crop the first one into a pano format to take out the bright section along the bottom (or maybe just stretch the orange section downwards) and with the second I'd maybe adjust the colouring of the bright patch on the middle right to blend in with the lighter yellow on the left - just my own thoughts
