| | | Moniter???? I have brought a new moniter and Pc,and my photos have been edited and processed on them and I am pleased with the results. However the look as if they need more colour saturation when viewed on my laptop And on both moniters quite a few of the Gallery photos look vastley over sharpened with harsh tell tale lines on them. Does the test pic look OK or in need of more colour saturation
Regards
Colin

| | | Re: Moniter???? Firstly - lovely shot, and it looks ok on the monitor I'm viewing on at the moment.
Secondly - welcome to the fun of calibration! Different screens are configured differently and even the same screen models can differ slightly at their default settings. I would set up the laptop next to your main screen in decent, even light (preferably during the day) and tweak the laptop until it's as close to your other monitor as you can get. Remember that different types of light can greatly affect how the display is.
As far as images seeming oversharpened- I wouldn't worry too much about this. Every person who posts images here has different processing skills and I see (in my opinion) many oversharpened images that show artifacts and halos etc. That's not normally your screen differences causing those. As long as when you process your images they look fine on your screen and look the same sharpness wise on a differing screen then i'd put it down to personal image processing procedures.
Just wait until you have the fun of getting them printed elsewhere
