| | My very first wildlife photo Hey there, im new here but have found this website really helpful. I dont have any money really but wanted to start taking some wildlife photos. I have managed to scrape the cash together to get a EOS 550D but cant afford any lenses right now. So i have bought some old manual focus nikon lenses for the 1960's and 70's...
so armed with no auto focus or metering and no hide with my 200mm i set myself the task of trying to get a nice portrait of a robin today...2 hours of waiting with some army scrim over me and my cheap Sunpak flash set at a 32nd power as a fill and try to get a little catch light in the eyes, i finally manage to get a few frames of my little robin!!
So without being too harsh what do you guys think?? Oh it was minus 3 ish today so two hours was really all i could take!!! |

| | | Re: My very first wildlife photo Fair play to you, the wait and cold payed off.
Given that you have a new camera, manual lenses and it was -3 I think you did a fantastic job.
