I went on my local walk today with a view to going to Riverside to get some shots of the Hen Harriers.
No such luck the weather turned against me but all was not lost, I took a few landscapes instead.  
I gave up on the river so I headed inland:

nice shots Jon, I particularly like no. 1 and 2. The lighting is very effective. I bet they look great full screen and full resolution.
Out of interest, what lens did you use for these?
