| | | Wireless Remote shutter release Nikon D80 help I would be so grateful if someone could help me here. I purchased one a few months ago from Ebay and when it came I did a trial shoot to make sure it worked which it did. I tried again today but I can't get it working and can't remember which settings my camera were on the last time. Please note it's not the ML L3 remote release. The gadget that plugs into the camera allows me to take photos when it's plugged in and I press the button on it, but when I press the button on the remote itself no picture is taken. I would be forever grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, many thanks Alan. PS the batteries are fine in the remote as the lights come on when I press release button |

| | | Re: Wireless Remote shutter release Nikon D80 help After some research a common problem is that the remote is not plugged in deep enough or not in the right way. or if your not pushing the button firmly enough.
Here is a manual for the one I think you have http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/...ase/MC-DC1.pdf
Sorry if Im no help
Connor

My plug in remote won't take the picture if it's not focused. |

| | | Re: Wireless Remote shutter release Nikon D80 help We got a couple of cheap remotes from China.....and the only thing that we have to check is that the connection to the camera is fully pushed in.(and there is only one way to connect it as it has a distinct shape to it) Apart from that...and that`s a simple error....it focus` well and operates without a problem. A Bargain for about £3-99 !!
I hope that`s the problem you are having and solves it for you!
Happy New Year to all

| | | Re: Wireless Remote shutter release Nikon D80 help I recently got a ML-L3 infrared remote for my d40x,
i mainly got it for taking lightning shots, but when
i put the settings on to bulb and then onto remote
it loses its bulb setting and wont go over 30sec exposure
dont know if its similar to your problem?
the manuel says it should work on remote when on a bulb
