The important thing to remember is that the two images are taken with the same lens and very similar settings at around the same time of day.
How did you select? Extract is about the best we've found and those all important feather/fur edges can be kept - though for some reason CS4 (why fix sommat that ain't broken) didn't have it on and we had add it on ourselves. The light effect on the wings is good - but I think the whole thing is a little dark IMHO.
Pat | Montage isnt really my thing i leave it to the experts, there are some great ones on photo.net that look really artistic.
I think i did the selection with the magic wand tool in ps7 but as i said earlier i did it as an excercise a few years back. Its a good way of learning photoshop and at the time i hadn't had it long, i think i could do a much better job of it now.
Ive looked at some cracking montages on a web site but cant remember which one and ive lost the link, they looked like salvador dali type paintings.
I might give it a go again one cold wet winters night and see if ive improved

It looks a little too dark and flat on my monitor, but it did touch up nicely. Overall as an exercise you did well. | Thanks graham, i was trying to make it look like id taken it at night with fill in flash.
How did you find the exif data? i dont see it
