Just back from three days camping at Charmouth, Dorset.
A couple of the nights were really wild, but gave good photo' opportunities the following morning.
The sun broke through the clouds to illuminate just the waves on the shoreline for a minute or so. The dog walker just happened to be there and was not posed.
No manipulation of the image, other than cropping and levels.

What unusual lighting! That is an atmospheric shot  (Camping, at this time of year? whoowee! Bit damp and chilly, I'll bet! I am wondering if you camped at the site where I used to stay, during the early 80's...there can't be that many sites at Charmouth )

Autumn and winter give some dramatic light conditions sometimes. |

And why not camp in the Autumn, I used to do that and in the winter. I bet it's warmer down the south than the north.

I didn't say don't do it, Foxy (I camped in mid September) but just remarked that it must have been damp and chilly

Lovely shot - brings back memories of fossil collecting down there in mid-winter 
Reminds me of the time my friend decided to beat the tide and run round a big slump between the waves ... I still have the image in my mind of him clinging to a big rock as a massive wave soaked him to the skin ... oh how we laughed!  |
