| | | Re: Rain photos I like the debris In fact it was the fiery colour of the leaves (?) contrasting with the bluey greens of the water that caught my eye. I like the last in the sequence best of all for this very reason

| | | Re: Rain photos Thanks Dutchess and Red Squirrel. I do like how the debris add abit of colour to the shot but i do find the dead flies a little distracting. I find it quite interesting how you both like the last photo best, as it was an accidental shot (did i forget to mention that ) |

| | | Re: Rain photos Well to be honest, this is the sort of subject that top drawer photographers choose as an exhibition piece, and use the very best of equipment, expertise and studio lighting.
Depth of field is always going to be a problem so your higher angle shots obviously work best.
I think that if you do some careful editing particularly with brightness and colours you may be able to get something acceptable with some of them. But there is a risk of blowing the highlights so if this becomes a problem I would recommend working on a duplicate layer and possibly using a mask to prevent localised overexposure.
Possibly something to experiment with during those long dark wet winter evenings. But certainly worth more exploration. |

| | | Re: Rain photos Now that looks more like it. Careful use of Curves and working on a duplicate layer should enable you to avoid those blown highlights though.
Shooting RAW can be helpful on these difficult subjects. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
