| | | Identifying your work I have sold a good few framed pictures now and was wondering if it's a good idea to put your name on them somewhere? I don't know if people buying them would be put off if they were signed or labelled some where. I'm sure it would be ok to do on the back with a telephone number, but is the front an option (just my name) and if so what do you think the best way would be to do it? Thanks |

Thanks | I name and date my prints in a nice light pencil. If I decide to limit the print to a certain quantity, I'll put say '1/500' on the left, just inside the mount |

| | | Re: Identifying your work Its worth putting some sort of ID mark I think on your photos, A friend of mine brought a signed (computer generated) print of one my photos The trouble was some one was lifting my work of the net and selling mounted framed photos. But at least it was brought to light.

| | | Re: Identifying your work I always add an ID label to prints that I sell, both to underline that it is protected by copyright and also to give contact information for possible future sales enquires.
Do be careful what you stick on prints though, as some adhesives can damage the print - look out for specialist acid free products.
