I went mad at the weekend and finally got a new camera.
I decided on the Sony a350 and the sal 70400g lens. 
Its so much heavier than my little Fuji and will take some getting used to.
Lots to learn but hopefully it might get me some good shots.
It is not that easy to hand hold this outfit so my next purchase will be a monopod.
Took some pics of this little chap this morning, hand held and rocking about all over the place.
If I can get things right I think I might be pleased with it.  |

Nice subject to try it out on.  And good shot too. Long lenses take a bit of getting used to but with image stabilization you won't have too many problems. Enjoy! |

Cracking pic Snake well done especially hand held and with the IS you have with it once you get used to it ,you willl be like the cat that got the cream .

I'm so impressed I've had another look - I think this pic may well crop to a frame-filler without significantly affecting the quality?? |

nice shot. being a sony user myself I'd be interested to know how the SAL 70-400mm is performing. It's a lens I've looked at myself, please keep us updated.
