| | | Canon 1D Mark 11N Well after finally having this camera for a year, I got the sensor cleaned and a new shutter fitted, then got error 99 so another trip up to the camera service centre finally got it working Most of the costs for this came off the purchase price which the private seller meet. I took a few snap shots with it with the 100 - 400mm tele lens on. Pretty pleased with the few shots taken, except that I am not sure if I can still see dust or dirt on the sensor But I did notice I caught the odd gnat nearly in focus so the specks could be other Gnats. Looking forward to learning how to use and understand this camera. Perhaps its been worth the cost and wait. One other problem is that I have been told to shoot in raw by publishers wanting to use my photos though they have and are going to use some I shot in J-Peg.
Regard
Colin

| | | Re: Canon 1D Mark 11N nice shots Colin and a nice camera too. But you've definitely still got muck on your sensor. What aperture were these taken at? Dust normally only shows up on my shots if I'm shooting at f11 or smaller (or if I'm using my MPE-65 macro lens which shows every speck of dust imaginable). You may need to clean the sensor again or get used to cloning them out in Photoshop.

| | | Re: Canon 1D Mark 11N Nice shots. The 1D Mark 11N is one of the best wildlife and sports camera you can get.
I have had mine for nearly 3 years and the sensor has never been cleaned, mind you the 100-400 is hardly ever off it.

| | | Re: Canon 1D Mark 11N A bit disapointed with the dust on the sensor, I have to admit after paying for a canon service. But really fed up this mornng as the Camera as yet again locked up on err 99. This will be the 3rd trip back to the canon centre at stoke Its starting to get a bit of an expensive luxury.
Regards
