| | | Re: Backlit butterfly - work for you? Absolutely awesome image Toby. The backlighting makes the shot unusual- in a very positive way!
I've had a little edit, just because I like getting my claws into a decent image
I just adjusted levels, cloned, blurred and finally, sharpened.
It's a beautiful image mate! |

Personally, I hope you managed to get a closer shot - nice tho' this is, it would be a belter closer. I'm not sure a closer crop would work as the detail may not be there but even that would be worth a try |

| | | Re: Backlit butterfly - work for you? Thanks very much Nick, that's looking really good to me. I'll play around with the original sometime this week to try and replicate that. Out of curiosity - which bits did you blur or did you layer it and use a mask etc?
Markulous - I'm at work so can't remember if there are any closer backlit shots than that. I was trying to get an environment feel to it from what I remember.
I did of course get some closer ones from the lit side, which i posted in the Gallery. Really happy with the shot. I'll have another try for a backlit again maybe this weekend.
Thanks all
