| | | What do you do with your best pics? First of all what type of pics do you take and why? I like birds & animals and landscape & things like insects do not appeal to me. I'm not knocking those who do it's horses for courses and different things appeal to different people. When I get a great pic of a kingfisher for example it will be getting framed & put up in my sitting room. Do you do the same or have an album with all your best shots or are they just on the computer or something? Just be interested to get some ideas what to do when I aquire a few good shots. Finally would you have a framed photo of lets say for example a dragonfly up in your home? |

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? I have a picture of a blue bottle on my Wall, he's bob my fly on the wall, I also have a pic
of an Adonis blue up on my wall too. This year I had some of my best pics made into a diary with the animals
present in the months when they are best seen which was fun to
do. but otherwise with my best pics I donate them to a relevant charity.. |

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? I only have one on the wall, got an A! printed as a prize from our local paper, but its not the one I would have chosen, just fitted their criteria. I think it would have to be one of my birdie photos. I did a DVD 'Wings and Water' which I gave to a friend (whether they wanted it or not!) |

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? I did that too! Printed a few off at home, used a £1 calendar which I scanned and made into jpegs (the software I've looked at doesnt put public hols in) and did each month as a Word doc. and printed on bright card. Results werent as good as you would get from a photo processing shop, but I supplied a re-usable bulldog clip

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? Perhaps Gill could explain about donating her photos... Do you give them prints for people to frame or the jpeg for them to use on greetings cards?
Having read thru a number of threads I see that many WABbers try to find stock photo agencies etc. Some of the images in the Gallery are superb, mine dont come anywhere near those. I just enjoy taking them ,and I'm trying to look more, even if I dont get a picture. |

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? I love the idea of a callender. I'm going to do that at Xmas time. Does anyone know how much it costs if you get some company like photobox to do it as I haven't got the equipment to do it myself. Thanks for giving me the idea. |

| | | Re: What do you do with your best pics? I just send the jpegs and the chartity can do whatever they want with them....
I get photobox (other development companies are available ) to do all my stuff, I find printers far too stressful and expensive to maintain - replace etc!! - Just keep an eye open for the offers - they often do poster prints as two for one (making them about a £5 each) and three for two for calenders I got calenders done last year and think thye were about a tenner each but a very professional finish - did wonders for my photographs!! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
