| | | Re: Critique please Good job on getting a slow shutter speed on a sunny day. The water looks great. As others have said the green mossy rock is a distraction and could be cropped out. I would try various crops and see which looked the best.

| | | Re: Critique please Good slow exposure given the light day. I actually like the idea of the green mossy rocks, brings into mind the damp verdant atmosphere which is Exmoor. Perhaps getting down a bit lower may have been interesting?
Keep it up.

| | | Re: Critique please In the past I have used a monopod to give me extra reach across a stream or down over over river bank to get the camera where I want it. If possible just stand on the end of the monopod to give you a stable camera platform. You would need a cable release (or use the 10 second timer) and you have to guessimate where the camera is pointing but it does work. Quote: |

There was no more room for movement to my left. Could I have paddled? Hmm ideas for my next trip maybe
Hi Chunky,
I really enjoyed myself. First holiday since I got my camera so loads to see and learn, beautiful places to go around there. I'm very jealous . Ruts - no but I did see plenty of deer and also saw a stag, no photos though. I did post in the Red Deer Rut thread also about it if you find it.
Gerry - thats a lovely shot also, a real feeling of power coming from the water, bet the noise was something else. Guessing it's not somewhere you'd want to slip in.
