| | | Back to Bempton! Well it took me 200 missed or out of focus shots but I finally got the image I wanted. Had this in mind from last time I wanted an 'eye ball to eye ball' image. More difficult than I thought though with the lack of wind and the Gannets whizzing around!
I'll post a few once they're processed.
kind regards.

| | | Re: Back to Bempton! The focus on the eye is spot on. Very striking shot. (there is a reflection in the eye that looks like a conventional indoor light bulb! - did you use some fill in flash?) |

| | | Re: Back to Bempton! lol! No, it was late afternoon but the sun was still strong, too strong! At Bempton the sun comes over your back in the afternoon looking out to sea.
Big problem trying not to blow the whites, but didn't notice the ligth bulb reflection! Will have another look.
Thanks for having a look.
kind regards.

Pauline, I know exactly what you mean!. Always wanted to see them and then this year finally made the trip to Bempton. Nothing could have prepared me for that. I was in heaven!
regards.

Stu. | Now what you need is a trip to 'gannet heaven' - Bass Rock off the Northumbrian/s. east Scotland coast - if you think Bempton is stunning then Bass Rock would knock yer socks off - and its high time I went again myself - tho just how I would fit that in - well I won't of course - but I can think about it!

| | | Re: Back to Bempton! Is really that good? Sounds like a plan for next year Pauline! Did you go with a tour or sort the boat out yourself?
cheers.
