| | | A quick visit to Marshside We had a quick visit to Marshside RSPB today, our first there. WOW! It's a great little spot. Bonus, the birds are within photography range. Will definately be going back soon!
These are just low res for speed, so, may not seem tack sharp here.
Regards.

Finally getting to grips with the finer details of the d300 and proper long lens techniques. Really love that lens though

| | | Re: A quick visit to Marshside Thanks Nicola,
Treated my better half to a nikon 300 f4 last year. And have recently been treking about the yorkshire moors after owls.
Found this lens coupled with a 1.4 converter brill as a general walk around lens and not that far off the 500 for reach!
Will post some shots once I've tested it properly for tracking birds but so far so good on the d300!
regards.

| | | Re: A quick visit to Marshside Don't forget Marshide in winter too - can be good - get tide tables and plan to arrive 2 hours before full tide - maybe a bit more if a gale force westerly blowin' - might see you there sometime Stu |

stu. | Looks like where all fans of marshside, I will keep my eye open for both of you.
At high tide youve got a chance of seeing short eared owl on the salt marsh side of the road.
Why cant wab members get a badge. I bet i have walked past a few wabbers when out and about

| | | Re: A quick visit to Marshside lol ! Great idea Mark. We'll have to all come up with a code or secret hand shake!
Gonna start mentioning the WAB whenever I see a strange lurking person with a camera like myself just in case. thought this lots of times.
Seriously though maybe the WAB masters could sort a badge and we could buy one each. Part goinging to the cost of the badge and part going to fund the WAB or a small charity? Something to think about. I'm sure lots of people would buy one. Would make ID'ing other wabbers alot easier.
Not sure how feasible this is? Any ideas?
regards.

Stu. | Hi stu
Ive just noticed its being discussed at the moment on the wab development posts ( top right hand corner )
By the sounds of it its not the first time a badge of some kind has been mentioned
I guess for now its a case of wait and see
