| | | Opinions on Flower Photo Please. I would be grateful for opinions, both positive & negative on this image, which has been denied entry to WAB's Gallery. (I don't think the refusal was on the naming, as it was entered as Cuckoo Flower - Cardamine pratensis).
I think the image is well exposed for highlights, shows good detail on the petals, and is in focus to the extent that the depth of field would allow. (biased opinion - obviously ).
I appreciate that Gallery Editors do not enter correspondence regarding why an image is not accepted, so I'm asking the photography forum members, in order that I might get some useful feedback. (I wouldn't normally bother, but in this case I'm curious to see what people think of the image).
Please don't hold back if you think the pic. is rubbish - I really do want people's genuine opinions so that I might fare better in future.
Regards

I like the soft background and the feel of the picture.
My first reaction was however , that bright red copyright sign puts me off a bit

| | | Re: Opinions on Flower Photo Please. Well, its a grand shot Mike - much better than mine below as a similar example - I wonder if it is the signature - mine is smaller ??
Cheers

| | | Re: Opinions on Flower Photo Please. Hmmm,
I need to get to the bottom of this because now this image has been rejected; -
I can appreciate that the signature might not be to everyone's liking, but I settled on the red colour for consistency, as being the one colour which is virtually certain to remain visible on the types of photo's I take, and which makes life just that little bit more awkward for those who might want to copy for unauthorised use.
I just don't understand why it would suddenly become a problem now, after having had more than 170 images accepted for the Gallery with exactly the same, (size, style & colour), signature.
I would have thought (hoped) that if it was a signature problem, that a PM might have been in order, to prevent continued frustration.
Regards
