| | | A few Pictures taken over the past couple of months Just asking what people think.
The Slow Worms were seen when out looking for other reptiels especially Adders. The Pheasant was taken at Minsmere back in March and walkwed over a mound then suddenly started displaying and jumping in the air.
Thanks

| | | Re: A few Pictures taken over the past couple of months Hello Mike firstly welcome to tthe site ,your images are nice a few problems nothing major, your pheasant shot it seems that your point of focus has locked on the grass at the birds feet as this area is the sharpest also the image of the 2 sslow worms again is slightly soft the sharpest is the single one .
Otherwise they are great images just those minor faults that need correcting well done

| | | Re: A few Pictures taken over the past couple of months What camera/lens and exposure settings? I think you might be handholding at too low a shutter speed. If auto focusing, are you focusing using the centre focus point? With multiple focus points it is common for the camera to focus on the nearest, or sharpest, object which may not be the desired point of focus.
Have you tried sharpening these photos during editing? I suspect that using a little bit of Unsharp Mask will work wonders. |

Bucksmike - I love the single shot of the slow worm - it's got it's tongue out
As for the pheasant I like it even though as Bill says the camera has focused on the grass, but a good effort nonetheless!

I have just had a look at your pheasant pic. in my editing suite and it does sharpen dramatically, producing a really excellent image, maybe you should try it and see what I mean.
