Here are a few of mine then Stu.
Had a good 2-3 hours at Bempton on Sunday, thanks to you

Got a bit distracted by all the small birds around too, didn't expact that. There were Pipits (Rock?), Grasshopper Warbler, Whitethroat amongst others. Could easily spend the day in the fields behind the cliffs.

I'm sooooo jealous! I went to Bempton on Friday last week and took what I thought were some cracking shots of Puffins. It's the first time I have actually managed to get them photographed at all. Imagine the angst when I got home and looked at them on the computer - they were rubbish! Some over exposed; others with no definition at all.

It was suggested I needed to get closer to the subject - but how do you get close enough to puffins on a vertical cliff face?

On the other hand - your shot of the puffin above is clear and looks like you were standing next to it! HOW did you do it?

Nice shots! If I was anywhere near there I'd go for a look too

But I am planning a trip to Ailsa Craig to see the gannets there at the start of June instead, so I'll hopefully get some new photos of them there. I love gannets! And they usually turn out really well in photographs for some reason, but then maybe I'm just biased!

, a long lens is a great help, the puffin was shot at 500mm. It seemed like very other person I saw on Sunday had a big lens slung over their shoulder though.

I was chuffed to see the Whitethroat too KT. This was it's favourite bush right next to the car park. If I'd had more time, reckon I could have staked it out and got some stunners, but maybe I'll visit again over the next few weeks.

Never been to Ailsa Craig zan, but sounds like the kind of place you will get some really good views.

I haven't either, but it's a lot cheaper to get to than Bass rock through the Scottish Seabird Centre (think it's £25 to Ailsa craig, or £95 to bass rock!), which is better for my OH who isn't a photographer or much of a wildlife lover

We'll see - I'm hopefully going out at teh start of June, so I'll see how it goes and report back!
