Motion activated cameras

Hi folks.

Looking for a motion activated camera of some sorts to try and monitor the Otters where i work. Needs to be fairly cheap ( not because i'm a tight so and so) just in case someone gets their stinky fingers on them when they are out.

Been surfing around and i have no idea what to go for. Have seen those offered by the National Geographic which are cheap but are they any good?

Depends what you mean by "fairly cheap". You just need a colour/infra-red camera and then the motion activated bit happens on your PC software. Have a look at Handykam.com and look at their Vari-focal outdoor high quality high resolution camera kit (£100 if you want it to work on a PC) and then the Motion capture and web streaming software (£30)

I haven't bought from them myself, but I do know a couple of people who have bought from them. Mine came from Heligan's Eco-watch Ltd. Works really well but they are more expensive.
