Wow, that's fantastic! Well done!

I need another trip there myself, and am definitely eyeing up the D300 after seeing shots like yours. My D60 just doesn't come close in poor light, and lacks the advanced AF systems.

Everytime I go there the light is rubbish too! Regardless of how sunny it was when I left the house

Before you purchase a D300. Have a try of the D700. The D300 is a fantastic camera and the 1.5x crop factor helps with shooting wildlife. But the shots I saw taken using a D3 at iso 2000 were amazing! and I think the D700 has the same sensor and iso capabilities.

I know as soon as I can afford it, a D3/D700 will be in my camera bag!

Just a thought.
