I like the composition, and the muted colour tones give the photo a very atmospheric feel.

That's a remarkable photo Jim, a very striking and unusual image, full of atmosphere - I can understand why other people have described it as 'Turneresque'!

Incidentally, I think I walked that stretch of the Grand Union Canal a few months ago.
