Hi, I have the Sigma 100-300mm f4 EX APO lens and use it along with a Sigma EX 1.4tc on a Canon 40D or 400D. This lens gets excellent reviews and I can honestly say that I agree. In MHO it provides as good as if not better that some more expensive alternatives. Certainly worth consideration.
All the wildlife photos I have posted on the Gallery have been taken with this combination. (search John D)
