| | | Re: Novice (or budding Amateur) Photographer An excellent set
I like the oystercatcher best. I know how hard it is to get a good photo of one!
Well done

| | | Re: Novice (or budding Amateur) Photographer These are good pics, well done.
I am impressed that you managed to get close enough to photograph the Wren and the Oystercatcher, I've found they are both difficult birds to get near to.
With the smaller birds, if the light is good enough and you can keep the lens stable, you may find it beneficial to set your aperture to around f8.
I look forward to seeing the next batch.

| | | Re: Novice (or budding Amateur) Photographer If I had to pick a favourite I would say the Oystercatcher. Great exposure and very sharp.
The Rook is a beauty as well you have caught the colouring well.
The Wrens, and this is only my opinion seem to be slightly soft, great shots though of this elusive little bird.
The Pied Wagtail I would liked to have seen a little more detail in the white.
Having said all this you have picked some difficult subjects in terms of colours with the black and whites and have done a very good job with them.
Nice work

| | | Re: Novice (or budding Amateur) Photographer Hello again a nice set of images well done only concern is in the Pied Wagtail,it looks as if you have blown the highlights a touch or cropped it to much as this has caused a lot of purpley/blue fringeing around the edges ,other than that well done a good set of images keep it going
